Rookie cop nabbed for kidnapping minors

    CABANGAN, Zambales — A rookie policeman was locked up in jail for kidnapping two minors and illegal possession of firearm after he was arrested by operatives of the Cabangan PNP in Barangay San Juan this town Saturday evening.

    Senior Inspector Roberto Llorico, Cabangan municipal police station chief, identified the suspect as PO2 Cres Rosaldo, 31, resident of Barangay San Juan and assigned at Hagonoy, Bulacan police station.

    Report said at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday, a certain Bernadette N. Sinoy of Barangay San Juan called the police station and reported an alleged kidnapping of a minor transpired at their place.

    Initial investigation disclosed that two minors were seated at the shoulder of the road when a black Fortuner stopped and the suspect forcibly grabbed one of the minors and dragged her to the car. The other minor was also grabbed, chocked, with the suspect poking a gun at her and shoved her into the car, allegedly shouting “Papatayin ko kayo…Kung patatakasin ko kayo, bilang na ang mga araw ninyo.”

    The suspect introduced himself a member of the Philippine National Police to the responding cops.

    Recovered from the suspect was a black Fortuner (AAU 6376) registered to a certain Yolanda Buenaventura Rosalbo, of 32F GT Tower Int’l Ayala Ave. cor. HV City, Makati City.

    Police also recovered one body bag zipper containing one Caspian silver .45 pistol with serial # 020814, four empty magazines, 65 live ammunitions for .45 pistol, one Samsung cellphone and a PNP ID.

    The suspect now detained at Cabangan municipal police detention cell facing charges for violation of RA 7610 and illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions.
