ANGELES CITY – Members of tricycle and jeepney drivers’ associations here received packs of rice from Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan on Tuesday, his birthday.

A champion of agriculture development and the cause of the small farmer, Pangilinan has made rice as the core of his assistance program dubbed as “Ayudang Abias Keng Panaun Na Ning Pandemya.”

Some 700 members of TODA and JODA were the beneficiaries of the distribution held at the Barangay Pandan covered court, supervised by the senator’s staff led by Allan Pangilinan and assisted by barangay chairman Jerry Alejandrino, Angeles City Public Transportation Regulatory Office chief Jerome Feliciano, FedTODA head Almario Jimenez, Pasada head Augusto Bagtas, and other officials.

Bagtas and Jimenez were profuse in their expressions of thanks to the senator for gifting them on his birthday.

“Malaking tulong na po ito para sa amin lalo na ngayong panahon ng pandemiya,” Jimenez said, even as he and Bagtas led rounds of birthday greetings to Pangilinan. .

Alejandrino, who sits in the city council as president of the Liga ng mga Barangay, hailed Pangilinan for his “ayuda” especially to the public transport sector which he said is “among the most impacted adversely by the pandemic.” With PR
