THE MEMBERS of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender or LGBT community, including their advocates, in the City of San Fernando, have come together in the culminating activity of CSF’s LGBT June Pride Month on June 29, 2018 at the Vista Mall, CSFP.

Through the city’s Gender and Development and citywide LGBT organization, SIWALA (voice), activities including a fashion walk and recognition of community-based trainees in several trainings were held during the event.

During “The Fashion Walk”, gay members of the community slayed outfi ts, styled by some Fernandino designers, in the runway.

While, after several weeks of training, the trainees from Events Management Services NC II, Beauty Care NC II, Massage Therapy NC II, and Hairdressing NC II received their certificates and starter kits.

With the theme, “Magkakaiba, Nagkakaisa”, the LGBT June Pride Month aims to promote gender equality and social inclusiveness among Fernandinos.

Before the culminating activity, the staging of Mardi Gras-themed Pride March, pampering services to CSFLGU male employees, and seminar orientation on discrimination amongst LGBT members were also held for the celebration of pride month.
