Tricycle driver Nestor Cruz could only express his exasperation as he meandered through waterlogged craters and potholes of the road of Sta. Maria Homesite in Barangay San Francisco here.
“Hindi po puwedeng sabihin na private subdivision ito dahil maraming private subdivision ang maayos na kalsada na ang nagpagawa ay ang gobyerno. Iyong Dela Cruz Subdivision sa San Francisco, private po iyan pero sementado lahat ng kalye,” said resident Ronald Rivera
A “hellish ride, especially for seniors, and — God forbid – pregnant women,” said a resident, articulating the collective experience of residents in the subdivision, complaining of the road they claimed to have never been rehabilitated for nearly 30 years, spanning the administrations of Mayors Marino “Boking” Morales and Crisostomo Garbo.
