MARIVELES, Bataan – Housing developer Fiesta Communities launched on Saturday new model housing units with workers of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) here as target clientele.

The housing units, some beside a brook, are located in Barangay Balon Anito with clear view of mountain ranges.

It is the second in Bataan after Limay town and the 17th project of Fiesta Communities in Luzon Gene Ryan Bautista, Fiesta Communities regional manager, said they captured as their market the Freeport Area of Bataan.

“Our market study showed that marami ang nagrerental sa Mariveles so we package our units na mas mataas ang mangupahan buwan-buwan,” he said.

Bautista said that 60 percent of FAB workers are renting and saw the demand for housing. Latest report showed that there are 34,000 workers connected in 136 multi-national companies operating in FAB.

Housing units in Fiesta Communities – Mariveles are worth from P450,000 to P1.4 million.

For the P450,000, the monthly amortization is P2,800 payable in 30 years.

Bautista said that there will be 700 housing units in the present development in Mariveles but the number will soon rise to 2,200 as soon as phase 1 – 1,400 units and phase 2 – 800 units, are completed.

He said that their Mariveles project had initially 18 hectares but increased to 25 hectares.

“We are targeting to make a township project of from 50 – 70 hectares. It will be a fullpledged community,” the manager said.

Bautista said that in the pipeline are projects in the towns of Hermosa and Abucay and the City of Balanga.

“Fiesta Communities is aggressive in Bataan dahil nakita namin na there is a need for housing, for socialized housing in the area,” he said.

He said that they off er low pricing for a bigger space.

The socialized housing standard is 28 square meters but he said that theirs is a minimum of 40 square meters.
