CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Over 300 beneficiaries from two towns in Nueva Ecija recently received cash assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office III as part of the government’s continuing efforts to provide financial support to vulnerable households.
The Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) assistance was distributed during the Tranche 2, Group 2 payout in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure that government programs and services reach qualified Filipinos, particularly those who need them most.
Under the UPLIFT Assistance program, Group 2 covers poor and near-poor households whose income falls within 25% above the poverty threshold, based on the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development.

Under the initiative, each qualified beneficiary will receive P2,000 monthly until December 2026.
In San Antonio, 185 qualified beneficiaries were served at the Dr. Jose Lapuz Salonga Gym in Barangay Poblacion.
In Talugtug, the payout for 121 beneficiaries was held at the Umali Gym in Barangay Quezon.
The UPLIFT Assistance program also covers households under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and Walang Gutom Program under Group 1, as well as low-income workers and their families identified by the Social Security System under Group 3.
Beneficiaries are advised to check the official Facebook page of DSWD Field Office III – Central Luzon for updates on succeeding payouts and other important UPLIFT Assistance announcements. PIA-3/Photos: DSWD-3
