CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — Government agencies in Central Luzon are organizing a one-stop “Bayanihan” job fair to support repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by ongoing global crises.
The activity, set on April 21 at SM City Pampanga, is part of a regional reintegration network led by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), with support from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and partner agencies.

DOLE Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio disclosed that more than 300 returning OFWs in Central Luzon have already been profiled, many of whom are seeking either local employment or overseas redeployment.
The job fair will offer both local and international opportunities, including in-demand positions such as caregiver jobs in countries like Japan and parts of Europe.
“Mayroon po tayong overseas employment opportunities at mayroon din po local employment opportunities,” she said.
Applicants are encouraged to arrive early and bring complete documents to take advantage of ‘hired-on-the-spot’ or near-hire opportunities.
“Mas maganda po magdala na sila ng mga dokumento kasi mayroon po tayong tinatawag na hired-on-the-spot,” Panlilio added.
Participating agencies include the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Trade and Industry, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and other government offices providing livelihood, training, and employment services.
DMW said the initiative aims to provide immediate and accessible support to displaced OFWs while helping them transition to sustainable employment.
