(‘MOST OUTSTANDING LGU’. Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago leads CSF-LGU in the acceptance of awards from the Pampanga Provincial External Monitoring Team, including Most Outstanding LGU Implementing the Streamlining Program in the Issuance of Mayor’s Permit, Most Outstanding LGU for IT Innovations, Best LGU in Customer Relations, and Most Successful LGU in the Institutionalization of Business Permit Licensing System (BPLS) Reforms, held August 28, 2018, at Heroes Hall, CSFP.)
The City of San Fernando was named as the ‘Most Outstanding LGU’ by the provincial offices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
This, after the Pampanga External Monitoring Team, created by DTI and DILG, held first ever ‘Provincial Recognition of Outstanding Local Government Units (LGUs) Implementing the Streamlining Program in the Issuance of Mayor’s Permit’ where CSF’s services landed on top spots.
CSF ranked first in all the four (4) award categories including Most Outstanding LGU Implementing the Streamlining Program in the Issuance of Mayor’s Permit, Most Outstanding LGU for IT Innovations, Best LGU in Customer Relations, and Most Successful LGU in the Institutionalization of Business Permit Licensing System (BPLS) Reforms.
According to the body, the recognition gets inspiration from an awarding ceremony hosted annually by the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc. or the CLGFCI.
As what CLGFCI envisions, the said team expressed that “the award-giving body encourages LGUs in Pampanga to improve their business processes and realize their advocacy for a business and investment-enabling environment.”
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago, for his part, highlighted that Fernandinos are naturally accommodating, which is being adapted by the officials and employees of the city.
“Likas na matulungin ang mga Fernandino kaya nadadala nila ito sa kanilang mga trabaho at sa pakikisalamuha sa mga tao. Kung magtutulungan ang bawat isa, magiging mabilis at episyente ang bawat transaksyon sa syudad,” expressed Santiago.
The awards were officially presented to the whole community of CSF-LGU on August 28, 2018, following the awarding ceremonies held August 24, at the Benigno Hall, Capitol Compound, Sto Niño, CSFP.
