CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A total of 4,997 college scholars and 223 board examination passers comprised the most recent beneficiaries of the Educational Financial Assistance Program of the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
through its Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) during a distribution activity held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on October 2.


Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the education payout at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here on Oct. 2 with each scholar receiving P4,000.
Based on the EFAP summary report, the beneficiaries include students from families of Nanay Community Workers and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, as well as those from solo-parent families, persons with disabilities, coastal communities, and daycare workers, among other qualified sectors.
The financial assistance is provided once every semester, as part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to help qualified students with their education-related expenses.



Meanwhile, the Capitol extended assistance up to P15,000 to each of the board examination passers, comprising 63 in the field of education, 52 in criminology, 32 in mechanical engineering, 22 in electronics engineering, 18 in architecture, 11 in nursing, seven in civil engineering, six in real estate management, five in medical laboratory science, five in pharmacy, and one each in customs administration and psychology.
Gov. Pineda said the Capitol is working to allocate additional funds to further expand assistance for the scholars.


Wany De Dios, one of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude for the assistance, saying it would help ease her school expenses as she works toward completing her studies. “This is a big help in my studies. Thank you for continuously supporting us until we finish our education.”
Through the Educational Financial Assistance Program, the Provincial Government of Pampanga continues to provide financial support to qualified Kapampangan students and graduates to help ease education-related expenses and support them in completing their studies and pursuing their professional careers.
