Covid-19 in ‘Gapo: 2 casino dealers of 4 new cases

OLONGAPO CITY — Two casino dealers and two others comprised the new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the city on Thursday.

City inter-agency task force chair Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the two casino dealers are a both males, aged 51 and 53.

The first went to Batangas from July 9 to 12, returned to Olongapo on July 13 and went on duty up to July 15 when he went out with co-workers from Orani, Bataan.

Upon learning that the patient showed symptoms, the casino management asked him to go on home quarantine. He underwent RT-PCR testing on July 27 with the result showing him positive of Covid-19. Though asymptomatic and in stable condition, the patient has been advised to be quarantined in a private hospital.

The second casino dealer was known to be hypertensive and diabetic and was on duty the sameday with the first patient. He developed fever and chills and was subjected to RT-PVR testing showing him positive of Covid.

The casino where both worked has been ordered closed for three days for massive disinfection while all its employees will be subject to check up and testing.
The other two new cases are a 57yearold female  with a travel history in Pasig City, and a 65yearold male with travel history  in Baguio City.

To date, the city had a total of 31 Covid-19 cases, 14 recoveries, 14 active cases and three deaths.
