CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Rather than fast and furious, it’s slow but sure that defines the success of Hausland Development Corporation (HDC), established in 1986.
Slow, yes, but no laggards. It’s just the nature of the officials and people that make up the Angeles City-based HDC to make both comfort and affordability harmoniously meet and blend in their various projects in Pampanga, Pangasinan and Tarlac. So, it takes some time to ensure that the projects will be primarily beneficial to the owners.
Last year, the HDC led by its silent but effective president and CEO, Wilfredo “Willy” Tan, ventured in a project in Zambales province that had put them at par with the most successful housing developers in the country.
The HDC through Fiesta Communities is now building Hanjin Village for the shipyard workers of Hanjin Heavy Industries Construction Philippines. There will be initially 300 units and the village is ready to host 1,000 families in a 30-hectare area in Castlillejos, Zambales.
With the assistance of Pag-Ibig Fund, the joint venture of Fiesta and Hanjin will be an ideal home for the workers because of its affordability and accessibility. There will be no downpayment and cash outlay as well.
Fiesta, the socialized housing arm of the HDC, has worked hard to achieve its mission to reduce the housing problem in the country.
“My vision is to uplift lives through housing because the greater majority of struggling individuals still think that having a decent roof over one’s head is almost a wish upon a star.
We envision HDC as an enterprise that would translate and deliver the dream of home ownership one within reach and one that spells decent living,” said Tan in a statement.
In 2010, the HDC decided to put up Homexperience to cater to those who want a classy but still affordable homestyle.
The Homexperience is working overtime to complete the Mansfield in Sto. Domingo, Angeles City. The project is one of the most anticipated high-end subdivisions of the HDC.
The other projects of the HDC’s Homexperience are Noveau in Pulung Cacutud in Angeles City, Mirus in Mabiga in Mabalacat City and Timog Residences in Cuayan, also in Angeles. –
“Homexperience raises the level of HDC’s housing solutions. From the assembly of its experiences in the industry. Hauseland through Homexperience has the framework of institutional image building.
The brand will carry the philosophy of better homes and life in the community it would build. Under its wing, development projects would serve the next market level Hausland serves: The mid- to high-end market,” the HDC said in a statement
Over 25 years, the HDC reaped one award after another, including top housing developer from 1990 to 1994 and the government’s housing developer of the year in 2003.
There are at least 10 awards received by the HDC. It recently got the Ernst and Young Philippines Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 and the Realty and Construction Entrepreneur in 2008.
HDC President-CEO Tan reportedly grew up in a chaotic neighbourhood in Sta. Cruz, Manila. His experience inspired him to consistently build quality and affordable dwellings in peaceful surroundings.
