AFTER THE 2017 Miss Universe was held in the Philippines, many of our ladies would want to experience how it is to be standing on stage in front of millions of spectators.

Becoming a queen in real life isn’t just about having the best clothes or the most number of Instagram followers.

It’s also about finding success even if the odds are stacked against you—something that Pia Wurtzbach, Shamcey Supsup, and Venus Raj know all too well.

Trace their journey to the crown and reveal words of wisdom from the queens themselves.

PIA WURTZBACH. For Pia, the journey to the crown was not easy. It took her three attempts before she could even get a foot in the door of one of the major beauty pageants in the world.

Once there, however, she wasted no time stunning everyone by being “confidently beautiful with a heart.”

In 2015, Pia bagged the most coveted title on coronation night, making her the third Filipina to wear the crown.

Pia’s experience inspires women to work hard and to always give their best in everything.

SHAMCEY SUPSUP. Ever since she was young, Shamcey said her mom “had been scheming secretly of turning me into a beauty queen someday.” It has definitely paid off.

Known for her intelligence, Shamcey is a beauty queen whom women can look up to.

“Sa akin kasi, it varies, e. It’s more of how you feel about yourself and how you make people happy. Not just yourself. It’s more of being able to make others feel beautiful themselves by your kindness. How you treat people. Having a beautiful soul. I think that what makes a person beautiful.”

Shamcey proves that acts of kindness are what make a woman truly shine.

VENUS RAJ. Being a queen does not always require wearing heavy makeup, heels, and long gowns.

Sometimes, the simpler the woman is, the more regal she looks. Add to that self-confidence and a never-say-die attitude, and she can definitely stand out.

Take it from Venus Raj, a woman who came from humble beginnings and beat the odds to become a queen.

“Hindi pumasok sa isip ko na mag-give up. I know I have to fight for it. Having little is not a hindrance to success. You should always have persevarance in such a way that you don’t just give up easily,” she says in her open letter to Filipinas.

Remember: Dream big, be confident, and be brave! Like Pia, Shamcey, and Venus, you also deserve to wear the crown.

AFTER BEING with GMA and TV5 for several years, Bianca King is now a talent of ABS-CBN.

She was with the Kapuso Network for 10 years and with the Kapatid Network for two years.

Bianca will be co-starring with Beauty Gonzalez in an upcoming Kapamilya teleserye titled Pusong Ligaw.

Actress Nikka Valencia posted a picture on Twitter while taping scenes with Bianca and Beauty Gonzalez last December 2016.

She only wrote in the caption: “#PusongLigaw 2017 abangan”

Both Bianca and Beauty recently posted their pictures on their respective Instagram accounts.

The upcoming TV project is produced by Star Creatives, the drama unit helmed by Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos.

Pusong Ligaw marks Bianca’s first project with ABS-CBN.

The 31-year-old actress started her career in 2004 when she became a part of GMA-7’s teenoriented series Click.

She was part of the show’s last batch, including Starstruck Ultimate Survivors Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras.

Bianca was then given a meaty role in the 2005 fantasy series Mulawin where she played the half-human, halfbird Aviona.

After her stint in Mulawin, Bianca tried to transfer to ABS-CBN and even did a guesting on The Buzz. However, she remained a Kapuso.

She continued to star in teleseryes and made her mark as a kontrabida. Some of her shows include: Atlantika (2006), MariMar (2007), Sine Novela presents My Only Love (2007), Dyesebel (2008), Zorro (2009), and The Last Prince (2010).

In 2011, Bianca was given her first lead role via the afternoon series Sinner or Saint alongside Dennis Trillo. Her character was supposed to be portrayed by Iza Calzado, but the latter decided to back out from the project.

Bianca then headlined two more afternoon shows: Broken Vow (2012) and Maghihintay Pa Rin (2013). She was also one of the lead stars of the third chapter of Luna Blanca (2012) with Heart Evangelista.

In 2014, GMA gave Bianca the permission to cross over to TV5 so she can do the mini-series Obsession.

Bianca continued to do more projects with TV5, mainly the sitcom Mac N’ Chiz (2015) and the defunct showbiz talk show Showbiz Konek na Konek (2015).

A formal announcement has yet to be made regarding the airing date of Pusong Ligaw.
