DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Hundreds of people joined the water festival held Sunday along the main streets here in observance of the feast of St. John the Baptist.
The image of the town patron saint was on a carriage followed by dancing women.
The festival started after the Holy Mass at 8 in the morning.
Firemen used water cannons in drenching the participants. Firetrucks were stationed in three road intersections.
Aside from firemen using water hoses, some residents on the second floor of their houses poured water on the passing festival participants who shouted “tubig, tubig” asking for more water.
Three brass bands provided music to dancing residents holding branches of trees or stems of flowers.
Street dancers in their colorful costume added color to the festival.
