Chef Vince Garcia, whose initials VG make the brand name, guarantees freshly baked products daily as well as freshly cooked food.
During the blessing and formal opening of Velvet Ganache on Friday, Garcia said the French influence, like its brand name, is just right for serving homemade European breads and pastries.
Garcia also feted his partner in the business venture, fast-rising young entrepreneur Jeff Del Mundo of the DM Group of Companies.
“SM malls wanted us to be part of their team here at SM so we decided, with my very capable partner Jeff del Mundo, to put up our venture here,” Garcia said.
“Two years ago, I was sitting in front of Rain Forrest kitchen and I was thinking of having a café,” he recalled.
Collaborating with Del Mundo in this venture is heaven sent, he stressed.
Garcia said at VG, steaks are guaranteed imported from the US while the ribs are from Spain.
As for Del Mundo, Velvet Ganache traces back his humble beginning in Barangay Telabastagan where he was raised by his parents.
Velvet Ganache is located at the ground floor of SM City Telabastagan.
