HERMOSA, Bataan — Police arrested 10 suspected drug traders in a buy-bust operation conducted early morning of Sunday in a barangay here.
Hermosa police chief Major Jeffrey S. Onde said the suspects were all of legal age, males, and residents of the towns of Hermosa, Orani, Dinalupihan and Abucay in Bataan.
Confiscated during the operation were 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets believed to be shabu and six pieces of marked P500 bill as buy-bust money, the police chief said.
Elements of the Hermosa police drug enforcement unit and the Bataan police provincial office conducted the operation at 4:50 in the morning in Barangay Palihan.
Onde said cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and RA 11332 for violation of social distancing and the absence of face masks are being prepared against the suspects.
“The Hermosa police will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt the illegal drug activity in this locality and intensify our campaign against illegal drugs even in the face of the coronavirus pandemic,” Onde said.
