SAN JOSE CITY (PIA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office III distributed ₱2,000 in cash aid to each of 2,605 beneficiaries in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Assistance.
The payout forms part of the continuing implementation of the program in Central Luzon.
According to DSWD Field Office III, the UPLIFT Assistance is among the government’s measures to help ease the impact of inflation and preserve the purchasing power of families most in need.
The agency added that, through its continued coordination with local government units and partner agencies, it aims to ensure the orderly and efficient delivery of assistance to qualified beneficiaries.
The UPLIFT Assistance provides targeted assistance to poor, near-poor, and low-income households affected by rising prices of basic goods and services.

Under the program, beneficiaries are classified into three groups: households under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program; poor and near-poor households identified through the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS); and low-income workers and their families identified by the Social Security System (SSS).
Households under the 4Ps and Walang Gutom Program receive a one-time ₱2,000 grant, while eligible CBMS-identified households and low-income SSS members receive ₱2,000 monthly from July to December 2026.
The government launched the UPLIFT Assistance under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as an immediate intervention to protect Filipino livelihoods and strengthen the country’s economy. (CLJD/MAECR, PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
