2 pushers, 11 others nabbed in drug raid

    SUBIC, Zambales –Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Zambales police, the Maritime Group and the Philippine Coast Guard arrested two drug pushers and 11 drug personalities in a drug raid in Barangay Calapacuan here.

    By virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of RTC Branch 74 of Olongapo City, police authorities raided the houses of Ali Salaman, 31, and Arlene Cortez aka Bebe, 30, at Purok 6, Barangay Calapacuan. Larry Salaman who was also subject of the search warrant eluded arrest during the raid.

    Eleven drug personalities were also arrested while at the house of Salaman when the search warrant was served.

    The raiding team recovered from the house four transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams placed in a plastic pail inside the comfort room.

    Police also recovered 10 transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams at the house of Arlene Cortez.

    Two other transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 12 grams were recovered by raiding team at the house of Larry Salaman.

    Meanwhile, in Olongapo City, operatives of Police Station 6 headed by Senior. Inspector Walter Primero arrested three drug pushers selling shabu worth P200 marijuana to a police poseur- buyer in Barangay Barretto.

    The suspects were identified as Rachel Estrella y Artiaga, 48, of Upper Gabaya Street, Barangay Barretto; Danmark Ladao y Pereza, 30, of Giang Street, Barangay Rizal, San Marcelino, Zambales; and James Ong y Smith, 40, of Barangay Matain, Subic, Zambales.

    Police recovered from the suspects a P400 marked money and 11 sachets of shabu and two plastic sachets of marijuana.

    All suspects were charged for violation of RA 9165.
