OLONGAPO CITY — A public consultation between 3S International Maritime Services and 40 Fisherfolk leaders and representatives from Subic, Zambales and
Olongapo coastal communities regarding the conduct of Ship-To-Ship (STS) Operation Awareness Activity in Subic Bay, was held at the Civic Center here.

In his letter to Subic Mayor Jonathan Khonghun, Michael B. Recosana, director of 3S International Maritime Services Inc., said the consultation meeting is  in compliance with the instructions issued by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority as part of their ongoing application for a permit to operate  for STS activities in Subic Bay.
3S International Maritime Services is a premier one-stop shop for top quality marine and shop repairs to ensure vessels operate at its best.

Fisherfolk leaders at the STS Operation Activity consultation presided over by Michael B. Recosana, director of 3S International Maritime Services Inc.

“I humbly extend my cable tow in the spirit of fraternal goodwill, harmony, and cooperation—trusting that this initiative will further strengthen our shared commitment to community welfare and responsible maritime operations,” Recosana said.

The fishery sector led by Municipal Fishery and Aquatic Resources Management Council chairperson Reynaldo Miranda from Subic, and Noli Cocjin of Olongapo, lauded the 3S International Maritime Services in its effort to help alleviate the
needs of the fishery sector for livelihood assistance.

Recosana said this activity is also part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, specifically under Fisherfolk Assistance Program and Annual Community Engagement.

The session covered essential information on STS operations, including safety protocols, operational zones, environmental safeguards, and community impact—ensuring that our fisherfolk are properly informed and aware of procedures relevant to their livelihood and maritime environment.

“This initiative supports the local government unit by strengthening stakeholder engagement and compliance visibility, which may contribute to enhanced financial assistance and shares provided by SBMA to the Municipality of Subic,” Recosana added.
