IBA, Zambales — The leadership and personnel of the Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) received regional recognition for their role in successful police operations that resulted in the arrest of two alleged members of a robbery group and the seizure of firearms and explosives.

Zambales Provincial Director PCOL Benjamin P. The awards were presented by PBGEN Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, in recognition of the recipients’ exemplary performance and leadership in the implementation of search warrants and anti-illegal drugs operations.

According to the ZPPO, the operations led to the arrest of two individuals allegedly linked to a robbery group, as well as the confiscation of various firearms and explosives.

The recognition highlighted the importance of intelligence-driven police operations and coordinated implementation of search warrants in addressing criminal activities in the province.

The Medalya ng Pagkilala recognizes notable performance or accomplishment, while the Medalya ng Kadakilaan is among the honors given to police personnel for acts of exceptional service and accomplishment.

Following the regional ceremony, the Zambales PPO also conducted its traditional flag-raising ceremony at the parade ground of Camp Captain Conrado D. Yap in Iba, led by PLTCOL Cris B. Cordero Jr., Deputy Provincial Director for Administration.

The recognition comes as the Zambales police continue to strengthen intelligence gathering, law enforcement operations and inter-unit coordination in support of the province’s campaign against illegal drugs and other criminal activities.

The awards also underscore the role of field personnel and intelligence units in providing operational support that helps police authorities identify and neutralize individuals allegedly involved in organized criminal activities.
