OLONGAPO CITY — The first day of the observance of All Saints’ Day, or Undas 2026, was peaceful and orderly in Olongapo City on Sunday, November 1, with the local government, police, barangay officials, and other government agencies working together to ensure public safety.

Under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Rolen C. Paulino Jr., the city government coordinated with the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), barangay officials, and other concerned agencies to maintain peace and order and provide assistance to residents and visitors visiting cemeteries.

Mayor Paulino also provided free transportation services to help residents travel conveniently and safely to cemeteries to pay their respects to departed loved ones.

The free ride service operated from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., covering the route from Ulo ng Apo Jollibee to the Kalaklan SBMA Gate on November 1.

The initiative aimed to ease transportation concerns and provide a more accessible and convenient way for families to observe the annual tradition.

Meanwhile, cemeteries across the city, including Olongapo Memorial Park and Kalaklan Cemetery, remained illuminated as families gathered to remember their departed loved ones.

On the security front, Olongapo City Police Office City Director Police Col. Deonido S. Maniago Jr. personally monitored police deployments and security operations at various cemeteries and strategic areas across the city.

Maniago checked the readiness and visibility of police personnel and ensured that security measures were properly implemented to maintain public safety and assist cemetery visitors.

The police operations were supported by OCPO personnel, force multipliers, barangay officials, and partner government agencies.

Authorities also reminded the public to observe cleanliness and maintain order inside and around cemetery premises throughout the Undas observance.

The peaceful conduct of the first day reflected the coordinated efforts of the city government, law enforcement agencies, barangay officials, and other stakeholders in ensuring a safe and orderly commemoration of Undas 2026.
