GAPAN CITY — A 55-year-old security guard found himself in deep trouble after allegedly selling prohibited drugs to an undercover policeman in Barangay Bayanihan here at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
City police chief Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito identified the suspect as Alberto Castro, married, resident of the said village.
Desamito said an operative from the station drug enforcement team (SDET) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency initially procured a sachet of shabu, using a marked P500 bill.
Upon arrest, however, the suspect yielded nine more plastic sachets of the substance. Weighing 1.79 grams with estimated value of P12,200.
Charges of violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were leveled against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office.
