SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The municipal government of San Antonio has allocated ₱12 million for its Educational Assistance Program and ₱750,000 for Kalampagan 2026, highlighting its efforts to invest in education while creating economic opportunities for local residents.

Mayor Arvin Rolly D. Antipolo said the two initiatives reflect the local government’s commitment to using public funds to support the future of young San Antonians and stimulate economic activity in the municipality.

Through the San Antonio Educational Assistance Program, the municipal government is investing ₱12 million to help students pursue their education and build a better future.

Meanwhile, the ₱750,000 allocation for Kalampagan 2026 is intended not only to provide entertainment but also to promote local talents, support small businesses, and generate livelihood opportunities.

Antipolo explained that community activities such as Kalampagan create economic opportunities for various sectors. Increased visitor activity means additional passengers for tricycle drivers, more customers for food stalls, and increased sales for vendors and other local businesses.

The event also provides local artists and bands with a platform to showcase their talents while allowing entrepreneurs and workers to earn additional income.

The mayor emphasized that although the two programs serve different purposes, they share one objective: promoting the welfare and development of every San Antonian.

He added that responsible governance is not simply about reducing expenditures but ensuring that public funds are used wisely and translated into programs and activities that provide tangible benefits to the community.

Through investments in education and local economic activities, the municipal government aims to ensure that taxpayers’ money creates opportunities, supports livelihoods, and contributes to the long-term development of San Antonio.
