SAMAL, Bataan — The Municipal Government here has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SR CO., LTD. and PHILBAKO Solutions Inc. to conduct a preliminary feasibility study for proposed solar power projects in public buildings across the municipality.
The agreement was signed under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Alexander C. Acuzar, alongside SR CO., LTD., led by its Chief Executive Officer Kwon Soon-ILL and PHILBAKO Solutions Inc.
The preliminary feasibility study aims to assess the viability of installing solar power systems in government facilities as part of efforts to reduce electricity expenses and promote the use of clean and renewable energy.
If found feasible, the proposed initiatives could help the municipal government explore more sustainable energy solutions while improving the efficiency of electricity consumption in public buildings.
The MOU marks an initial step toward evaluating the potential benefits of solar energy for Samal, with the feasibility study expected to provide a basis for determining the project’s technical and practical viability. (30)
