For James and Lady, planning their wedding was never easy since both are based in Singapore working in the construction, design and architecture industry. It is during their vacant time that they try to squeeze their wedding preparations in their hectic work schedule.
Despite the obstacles, James and Lady made it a point to meet regularly. The time they spent for the wedding preparations served as a “bonding” moment for them. Both would like to be “hands-on” in all the preparations. They chose Red and Black as their color motif. Both of them made use of their talents in designing the invitations. They were also the ones who did the audio-visual presentation shown during the reception. James even designed the look of the wedding cake.
Though they arrived in the Philippines a week before the wedding, they made sure that nothing was left undone. Months before the wedding, they already reserved the Lord’s Transfiguration Parish Church for the ceremony and Grand Palazzo Royale (GPR) for the reception venue.
As an in-house wedding planner of GPR, the couple chose Events and Concepts to help them implement all their plans and preparations for the wedding day—January 24, 2009.
The bride’s make-up was done by Claudia and her wedding gown was a creation of Manny Ocampo. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Fr. Giovanni Manalac, SRC, and the church music was provided by the D’Voz of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Pampanga. The flowers at the altar and along the aisle, as well as the bouquets were arranged by Jannette Garbes of the Flower Garden.
During the reception, the couple surprised the guests with a modern dance number as soon as they entered the ballroom. The reception venue was perfectly styled by Pancho Pantig of Plumeria- the official florist of GPR. All the special moments that day were captured in photos and video by CrisMont.
It was indeed a day James and Lady will never forget—a day when all their families and friends gathered to celebrate love!
