The Social Security System (SSS) warns all members and employers against fixers and scammers who offer assistance on contribution and loan payment and issue falsified payment validation slips.

An incident was discovered when a self-employed member reported his unposted SSS contributions. His validated payment slip, upon verification was found to be falsified.

We are strongly advising our members, employers, and their representatives to transact in our branch offices only or via online through their My.SSS account. SSS will not be held liable for any fraudulent transactions once a member is found to have connived with a fixer. This practice violates Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 as well as R.A. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018 and is punishable by a fine up to P5,000.00 or imprisonment for not less than six months up to one year or both depending on the court’s decision.

SSS would also like to inform that the Tellering Section does not allow payors, particularly company representatives, to leave their payment documents with cash/check for processing. Payors must be present during their transaction to confirm the details in the validated payment slip.

As a standard procedure, teller receives and reviews the accomplished Payment Return Form (PRF) or Payment Slip with cash and/or check payment from the payor. Teller then encodes the payment details and prints the validation on the PRF. Payor receives the validated PRF with cash change, if there’s any. Members, employers, and company representatives are advised to monitor their contribution payment transaction through their My.SSS Account.

Moreover, there are online and alternative SSS payment channels available, which can be viewed at https://bit.ly/3MbUE0L.

Concerned citizens and victims may report fixers/scammers to the Special Investigation Department (SID) through email fid@sss.gov.ph and telephone number (02) 8924-7370.
