LEARNING CONTINUES: Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Attorney Gloria J. Victoria-Banas, Officer-in-charge and President of City College of San Fernando Pampanga, distributed on September 15, 2020, learning modules/course packets to sustain delivery of quality education for the CCSFP students, ASLAG Ning Balen.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago led on Tuesday the distribution of learning modules or course packets to various barangays in the City of San Fernando.

This was one of the City College of San Fernando Pampanga’s efforts to sustain delivery of quality education for its students under the “ASLAG Ning Balen” initiative.

“Tuloy ang edukasyon sa Siyudad ng San Fernando, may pandemya man o wala. Para ito sa kinabukasan ng ating mga bata, ng bawat pamilya, at ng buong siyudad. Ang gusto namin, walang batang maiiwan dito sa lungsod,” Santiago said.

CCSFP’s Learning Continuity Plan seeks to ensure that its students’ learning progresses amidst this pandemic.

Since face-to-face sessions are still not allowed, Attorney Gloria J. Victoria-Banas, Officer-in-charge and President of City College of San Fernando Pampanga, said they’ll be using the modular distance learning or the use of individualized package of learning activities.

“Hindi ito mahirap kasi mayroon itong primer. Ipinapaliwanag dito kung ano ang distance learning, ano ang module at kung paano nila ito gagamitin. Teachers and professors are also required to be available thru phone calls, texts, or other online platforms to accommodate the questions, clarifications and consultations of the students,” she explained.

A recommended schedule of classes will be given to help students manage their study time at home during the modular distance learning. They will also be given a list of their classmates to connect and meet with online.

“With the guidance of Mayor EdSa, ginagawa namin ang lahat ng paraan para maging magaan ito sa mga esudyante. Para sa mga ASLAG, please study well, and do not hesitate to get in touch with us thru the contact numbers we provided and we are always willing to help you,” Atty. Banas added.

Meanwhile, Santiago thanked the efforts of CCSFP teachers, parents, and barangay officials.

“Pinasasalamatan natin ang lahat ng mga guro, magulang, at ang mga nanunungkulan sa barangay dahil pinagtutulungan natin ang pagsulong ng edukasyon habang nilalabanan ang pandemyang ito,” the mayor said.

Earlier, some barangays like Calulut, Magliman, San Juan, and Malpitic already received the modules for preliminary term.

CCSFP targets to distribute all the modules to the 35 barangays until September 16. Students may then claim these at their respective barangay hall.

For students who are below 21 years old, their parents or guardians can collect the hard copies of the modules by presenting an identification card of the student.

The students can submit their outputs back to the designated drop box located in their respective barangay hall, at CCSFP; or through online means as per their professor’s instruction.
