Everlasting Person

In the past two decades or so, I have written articles about modern-day apparitions and their messages, yet I have no idea whether the pieces ever earned good following. There were, however, some people who told me they had read the articles (mostly columns like this that you’re reading) in a way that said, "please go on."

I am neither a visionary like Lucia of Fatima (I find only humor even in the mere suggestion) nor an academic expert on Catholic mysticism, so in writing about apparitions, their messages and the like, I compensate by making sure my sources, initially mostly print and lately also digital, are reliable and preferably supported by a holy priest or, better, by a bishop or, best, by the the old fashioned imprimatur and nihil obstat.

Some readers would probably find the latest bits on movie stars or local politics more interesting and relevant. I used to be in that position for a long, long time, but much has changed. These days, I tend to cut out things in the perspective of the fact, and I mean fact, that I am an everlasting person. And so is any human from Adam and Eve who are still there somewhere, much alive.

The issue of being everlasting is altogether voluminous, but for those who are interested, I recommend typing near-death experience or NDE which would unravel accounts of people who had been pronounced clinically dead but returned to life to give stupendous, often uniform accounts of what happened to them while being "dead."

Any "spiritual" thing I tackle as a journalist is inspired by this everlasting slant.  For me,  the articles are like, in the end, invitations to  a non-ending party,  not on earth but past it, alhtough first, we must be good (to quote the Blessed Virgin in Fatima).

So I continue to write about developments in Catholic mysticism because apparitions, etc. deliver messages that appeal for and inspire goodness.

Such is the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Mirjana, one of the visionaries of Medjugorje, only last June 2.
    The Blessed Mother said:

"Dear children! As I call you to prayer for those who have not come to know the love of God, if you were to look into your hearts you would comprehend that I am speaking about many of you. With an open heart, sincerely ask yourselves if you want the living God or do you want to eliminate Him and live as you want. Look around you, my children, and see where the world is going, the world that thinks of doing everything without the Father, and which wanders in the darkness of temptation. I am offering to you the light of the Truth and the Holy Spirit. According to God’s plan I am with you to help you to have my Son, His Cross and Resurrection, triumph in your hearts. As a mother, I desire and pray for your unity with my Son and His works. I am with you; you decide. Thank you."

The latest message of the Blessed Mother, conveyed also to Mirjana, was last June 25. She said:

"Dear children! Give thanks with me to the Most High for my presence with you. My heart is joyful watching the love and joy in the living of my messages. Many of you have responded, but I wait for, and seek, all the hearts that have fallen asleep to awaken from the sleep of unbelief. Little children, draw even closer to my Immaculate Heart so that I can lead all of you toward eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call."
The party comes later, but never on passing earth.
