OLONGAPO CITY –A police major and three of his men were accused by a detainee of robbing his home of some P2 million in cash and valuables last September.  The incident was reported only on Oct. 3.

Police identified the suspects as Police Station 4 commander Major Walter Primero y Abrigo, PSSg Christian Paul Garcia y Dela Peṅa, PCpl Jerald Castor y Vitug, and a “John Doe.” The complainant, Jomar Rodillas y Musca, of Yellowbell Street, Purok 5, Barangay New Cabalan in this city and presently detained at the Olongapo City District Jail.

In his complaint, Rodillas said that around 5 p.m. of Sept. 5, he and his live-in partner Jovielyn Sierra were arrested for illegal drugs at the corner of Purok 5, Barangay New Cabalan, Olongapo City.

That on board a black Toyota Innova where they were taken by the arresting officers, Primero allegedly forced them to give the pin number of their G-Cash, but he found it empty.

Thereafter, Primero allegedly asked the complainants to tell him where they kept their money and illegal drugs in exchange for their release.

Overpowered by fear, Sierra acceded to the demand of the policemen and told them where their money was stashed in their residence.

The complainant added that Primero asked Sierra if they have a CCTV camera on their house, and when she did not immediately reply Primero “defamed” her and out of fear she said they did not have any CCTV.

Primero and his men thereafter left them in the vehicle under guard and proceeded to their house. They came back after two hours carrying a bag, the complainant alleged.

The following day, the complainant said relatives visited him and his wife at the detention cell of Police Station 4 and informed them that their money amounting to more or less P1 million, a Rolex watch valued also at P1 million, 11 pairs of shoes, and groceries worth some P25,000 were missing.

Rodillas said Primero and his men entered his residence without any search warrant. He named as witnesses to the incident Cazandra Faye Capistrano y Sierra of Block 20 Rimas Street, Barangay Gordon Heights, and Mark Jason Montevirgen y Salvedea of No. 21 Luna Street, Barangay Banicain, both in Olongapo City.

Police said all the named suspects have been relieved from their posts and now face charges for robbery.
