CLARK FREEPORT ZONE (PIA) — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has assured locators and workers of stable operations in the Freeport despite global energy supply disruptions linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Agnes Devanadera said the situation is a temporary supply-side challenge and does not reflect the strength of Clark’s operating environment.

“Clark remains fully operational. Utilities, logistics, and regulatory services are in place, and no disruption has been reported among our locators,” she said.

CDC said it continues to coordinate with national agencies and utility providers to ensure service continuity and readiness for possible contingencies.

The agency also noted varying impacts across industries. While Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing and service firms can adopt flexible work arrangements, tourism-related businesses such as hotels and event venues remain dependent on onsite operations and visitor activity.

CDC said it is working to balance these needs by supporting remote work where feasible while sustaining the operations of sectors that drive tourism and local economic activity.

The state-run firm added that it will continue to work with government and private partners to safeguard business operations, protect jobs, and maintain investor confidence in Clark Freeport. (CLJD/MJSC, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
