Fr. Melvin Doucette, 73, of Prince Edward Island, Canada has been reportedly receiving messages from Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary since 1999. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 22, 1968, with the Missionaries of Africa where he was missionary for 29 years.

After his missionary life, he went back to his native town where he is said to experience mystical phenomena up to the present.

Just recently, Fr. Melvin quoted Jesus as having said the following:

“Have faith in Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world today.

As the two men were on the way to Emmaus, I joined them but they did not recognize Me. As they did not believe in My resurrection, I explained to them what was written about Me in the scriptures.

At the end when we were at table eating, I gave them the bread I had blessed and then their eyes were opened and they recognized Me.

I then disappeared from their sight. Now they believed in Me with all their hearts and quickly they returned to Jerusalem to tell the Apostles and others what they had experienced.”

Jesus was further quoted to have continued:  “My dear friends, this true story is given to you to help you too to believe in My resurrection. I am now the Resurrected Jesus who will never suffer again and I will never die again.

Come believe in Me with all your heart for indeed I am your Savior, the Son of God, who was sent by the Father to save you. You need to believe in Me if you want to be saved. Open your hearts and I will fill them with My love, peace and joy and give you all the graces you need. I love you all.”

And now for the latest message of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Medjugorje visionary Marija last Feb. 25, 2013:

“Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. Sin is pulling you towards worldly things and I have come to lead you towards holiness and the things of God, but you are struggling and spending your energies in the battle with the good and the evil that are in you.

Therefore, little children, pray, pray, pray until prayer becomes a joy for you and your life will become a simple walk towards God. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

We will continue in the next columns with the series of messages from Medjugorje.
