At 21, ex-SK nat’l chairman is Bataan’s youngest mayor

    BAGAC, Bataan – Louise Gabriel del Rosario at 21 becomes the youngest mayor ever elected in this mountain town in Bataan known for its beautiful sandy beaches adjacent to the West Philippines Sea.

    Del Rosario popularly called Gabs turns 22 on July 29 or almost a month after he takes his oath as new town chief executive on June 30.

    He replaces his father, outgoing Mayor Rommel “Ramil” del Rosario, who finishes his three-year term on June 30.

    Gabs at 15 was sangguniang kabataan barangay chairman in Ibis, Bagac and at 19 became the federated SK president in the municipality.

    He was elected SK national chairman in the country and sat as ex-officio member of the Bataan Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

    The mayor-elect said he will work for the further development of tourism in his town to help uplift the livelihood of his constituents. Bagac is home to the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a world-renown theme park.
