ANGELES CITY — The second mobile bus under the Ronda Bakuna program of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will roll on August 25 in Barangay Margot, accommodating 7,500 residents there.

“Yung second bus po na iikot under the Ronda Bakuna program ay para po sa mga residente natin na nakatira sa mga malalayong barangay,” Lazatin said.

“Hindi na po nila kailangang bumyahe pa sa mga vaccination sites para magpabakuna, tayo na po ang pupunta,” Lazatin added.

Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, said that after Barangay Margot, the next target village is Sapangbato with 7,003 residents.

The mobile bus was inspected by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel with Business Permit and Licensing Division Chief Evangeline Malonzo, City Engineer Donato Dizon, and Gender and Development Officer-in-Charge Mina Cabiles prior to the inoculation schedule to ensure that all is in place, including the medical equipment and other logistics inside the bus.

With the deployed bus are members of the GAD and BPLD and another vaccination team from the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center, City Health Office, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Nutrition Office, Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, and Office for the Senior Citizens Affairs.

To date, 6,612 residents from four barangays have already been vaccinated via the Ronda Bakuna sa Barangay — 996 in Barangay Virgen Delos Remedios; 1,155 in Agapito Del Rosario; 2,386 in San Jose; and 2,075 in Sto. Rosario.

Apart from this, the Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay — using six Philippine Rabbit buses and 10 jeepneys — is also fetching families from barangays to the City College of Angeles via schedule.

Among those who benefited from the Sundo Bakuna are residents from barangays Cutud, Pulung Cacutud, Pampang, and Cutcut.

As of today, 131,644 Angeleños already received their first dose of vaccines while 76,708 are already fully vaccinated.
