LIMAY, Bataan: A mother and her two children died while the father and another child were injured when the car they were on board rammed into the trunk of a tree by the roadside of the Roman Expressway in Barangay Alangan here at dawn of Saturday, August 19.
Major Dennis B. Duran, Limay police chief, said dead on the spot were Dyanne Bebit, 31 and children Shinjie Mae Javier, 11 and Mark Lenz Javier, 2 while those injured were car driver Reggie Javier, 39 and Shantel Layne Javier, 13; all from Alangan.
Rescue workers and police rushed the injured to the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City. The car was in total wreck.
Reggie Javier, live-in-partner of Dyanne, was an electrician at the Limay municipal office.
Duran said that the family was on the way home from the Limay town proper traversing the uphill road when the car crashed into a tree between 2:30 – 3:00 in the morning. “Masasabing mabilis ang sasakyan at ito ay paahon sa pakurbadang kalsada.”
The police chief said that investigators are looking after two factors as to the cause of the self-accident. “Ito ay human error o ito ay mechanical error o nagkaroon ng problema ang kanyang kotse considering na medyo luma na ang sasakyan.” (30)
