BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a road project that seeks to boost the coconut industry in the province of Aurora.
The 4.6-kilometer infrastructure connects the coconut plantation at barangay Dibaraybay in Dinalungan to the Baler-Casiguran Road.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the project will further develop the coconut industry in Dinalungan, making it easier and more convenient to transport agricultural products from the plantation to various markets.
“We also paved the road to the office of Philippine Coconut Authority in the town, making the agency more accessible to its stakeholders,” he added.
The P39.2-million road project also includes concreting of various local roads in the Dibaraybay Community.
It was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
