TARLAC CITY (PIA) – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the city government of Tarlac, conducted Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan at Downtown Public Market.
A total of 35 distributors, retailers, and micro, small, and medium enterprises joined the activity.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said this is a timely event for student’s opening of classes.
“This program gives the consumers opportunity to avail of school supplies as well as basic necessities and prime commodities at discounted prices in preparation for the upcoming opening of schools with limited face to face classes,” Balilo said.
Diskwento Caravan is a regular program of the department organized in accordance with the seasoned events of the year.
In line with this, orientation on consumer rights and responsibilities was in place to increase the awareness and understanding of consumers on the matter.
Likewise, DTI partnered with various establishments in the province for the In-Store Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan from August 13 to August 19.
These include Pandayan Bookshop, 1st MegaSaver, BHF 3B & A, Puregold Price Club Inc., Shin Shiok Bazaar, and 558 Winmart.
