NO VACCINATION site comes close to the SM malls for sheer scale and scope in the coronavirus vaccine rollout throughout the country.
In November 2021, SM Supermalls surpassed the five-million mark of Covid-19 jabs. By the end of February 2022, the number of jabs in 76 SM mall vax sites nationwide reached nine million. Pediatric vaccination totaled 801,000 for the 12-17 years age bracket, and 104,000 for the 5-11.
“SM Supermalls continues to strengthen the partnership and cooperation with the local government units. We are persistent in our vaccine efforts to make sure that more Filipinos will get inoculated,” enthused Engr. Junias Eusebio, AVP for Operations North Luzon, at the launch in February of Resbakuna Kids in SM City Pampanga, attended by Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago, and National Task Force deputy chief implementer and testing czar Vince Dizon.
Dizon noted that SM Supermalls was the biggest private entity where the biggest number of people were vaccinated, citing its great contribution to the government’s efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
Pineda expressed his appreciation for SM opening its facilities as vaccination sites for the ease and comfort of the vaccinees.
In Central Luzon, as of Jan. 20, 2022, SM City Olongapo Central had the most number of jabs at 219,996, followed by SM City Clark with 170,826.
SM City Pampanga came third with 168,942.
