BALANGA CITY – The number of active cases of the coronavirus disease in Bataan dropped 60 with the town of Morong for the first time registering zero case as of Monday.
Still with active cases but considerably gone down too are Balanga City – 10, Mariveles – 10, Hermosa – 7, Orani – 7, Dinalupihan – 5, Samal – 5, Limay – 5, Bagac – 4, Orion – 3, Abucay – 3 and Pilar – 1.
There was also no new death listed for the fifth straight day Monday with total number of casualties remaining at 1,206 since Thursday.
Latest report showed the number of those who have tested positive of the virus reached 29,491 with the addition of four new confirmed cases, two from Mariveles and one each from Balanga City and Orani.
Ten newly-recovered: Dinalupihan (3), Balanga City (2) and Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion and Pilar with one each, bringing the total number of recoveries to 28,225.
Meanwhile, Gov Albert Garcia announced that Bataan will continue the national vaccination drive under the Department of Health’s Bayanihan, Bakunahan on Dec. 15 – 17.
As in the first campaign, all those to be vaccinated with the first and second doses and booster shot will receive free five kilos of rice each in all inoculation sites in 11 towns and one city in the province.
