Zambales rape suspect arrested in Bulacan

IBA, Zambales — After eight years in hiding, a rape suspect in Zambales was arrested in Bulacan by joint elements of the Sta Cruz police, PRO-3 regional intelligence unit, Zambales police intelligence unit, CIDG-Zambales, CIDG-Olongapo and Plaridel police on Friday. 

In his report to Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño, acting Sta. Cruz police chief Capt. Richard E. Asis identified the suspect as Raymar Rosero y Moralde, 33, of Barangay Biay, Sta. Cruz.

The suspect was arrested along the Cagayan Valley Road in Barangay Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Josefina D. Farrales of Branch 69, Iba, Zambales for the crime of rape under CC # RTC-7650-I dated March 24, 2014 with no bail recommended.

According to police report, the victim was an 18yearold victim high school student at the time of the crime on the night of July 21, 2013 in Barangay Biay, Sta Cruz town.

The suspect is a step brother of the victim, who went into hiding after committing his crime.

“The long arm of the law will always prevail and our PNP will never stop to courageously serve the ends of justice at the proper time, said Cardiño.
