ABUCAY, Bataan — Police reported Wednesday the arrest of two suspects for illegal possession of firearm and drugs here Tuesday night.
Abucay police chief Major Leopoldo Estorque, Jr. said the two men were flagged down while riding in tandem on a motorcycle without plate number with both wearing no helmet and no face masks.
During the conduct of protective search against the suspects, the arresting officer recovered a .38 revolver without markings and serial number loaded with five live ammunitions.
Estorque said further search resulted in the recovery of four small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
The arrest was conducted during the Anti-Criminality Mobile Patrol/Oplan Sita Operation of the Abucay police as directed by Col. Joel Tampis, Bataan police director.
Estorque said the suspects were detained at the Abucay municipal police station while cases for violation of Republic Act 11332 (Illegal possession of firearms) and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts are being prepared.
