JAEN, Nueva Ecija – There’s no let-up in the active role of the police in maintaining order amid the enhanced community quarantine, much less in its anti-criminality campaign, police stressed Monday.
This, as two persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sapang here at about 5:30 p.m.Sunday, April 26.
Major Erwin Ferry, town police chief, identified the suspects as Tomasito Mangalinao, 40, painter, and Edison Miranda, 24, construction worker, both of Barangay San Juan South, Cabiao town.
Ferry said the operation which resulted to the recovery of two plastic sachets of shabu and the P1,000 buy bust money, was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were filed against the suspects who are now detained at the police’s custodial facility, said Ferry.
