Silyang Handog launched, 6th wave of books, kits distributed

THE SIXTH wave of the distribution of Senior High School books and Kits for Kids and the launching of the Silyang Handog Para sa mga Batang Mag-Aaral was undertaken last January 15 at the Tarlac Capitol’s Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador.

Ten thousand students from 57 schools for Kits for Kids program and 20,900 books in 71 senior high schools benefited from the 6th wave of the program while 10,000 armchairs were given to 124 schools for the Silyang Handog Para sa mga Batang Mag-Aaral.

Gov. Susan Yap thanked the teachers for their efforts in imparting their knowledge to their students to be productive and model citizens in the future.

She likewise mentioned the New Clark City [NCC] as the next mega metropolis.

“You have to prepare for the future because the NCC will be the next metropolis in the country and it is located in our province. There will be more job opportunities for our future graduates. That is why, it is important that the provincial government continue if efforts in providing necessary tools for our beloved students.”

A total of 23,100 kits in 168 schools province-wide were already been distributed since Gov. Yap took over as Gov. in 2016.

The first three waves were under the Gov.ship of Victor Yap, now the province’s second district Representative in Congress.

Twenty thousand armchairs in total were distributed in 237 schools since 2017 with 60,180 books for senior high school in 140 schools have already benefited likewise since 2017.

School principals representing the different student and school-beneficiaries received their respective armchairs, books and kits from Gov. Yap, Vice Gov. Carlito “Casada” David, first district Board Member Joy Gilbert Lamorena and Department of Education-Tarlac School Superintendent Ronaldo Pozon.
