CLARK FREEPORT – Gone were the days of ordinary cable TV. Converge Freedom has arrived!

Subscribers can now choose how they want to enjoy their favorite TV shows by revolutionizing the way in which to access its content via Converge Freedom, Converge ICT Solution’s newest offering.

Powered by ICT’s pure fiber internet, Converge Freedom, with the hashtag “Stream Come True,” is an online streaming service designed to access content at the users’ own pace and convenience.

“We’re very excited to launch Converge Freedom (internet protocol [IP] television [TV] product) as we give our valued subscribers the full power over what they watch, when they watch it, and where they watch it,” said Jesus Romero, Converge ICT chief operating officer during its launching on April 12.

“With Converge Freedom IP TV, you can now rewind, if you want to watch a sequence in the episode you are watching or fast forward if it gets too boring for up to seven days,” Romero explained.

“It you missed an episode you can watch it at your own time and convenience for up to a week after it was originally shown,” he said.

“This is not possible with the ordinary cable TV,” he added.

Romero said the Converge Freedom IP TV can be likened to Youtube and Netflix because it has linear content that is streamed online.

“Unlike the illegal devices where you cannot make a complaint in case the channels get lost, with Converge Freedom you are baked up by the company that can help you if it develops a problem,” he said. “You call us. We will fix it,” he added.

Converge Freedom IP TV can also work on smart phones, tablets, PCs or with the box itself, he pointed out. It means you will no longer be limited to watching your favorite programs on your TV, he said. “With Converge Freedom, you can watch anytime, anywhere in your home with its on-demand functionalities,” Romero added.

For subscribers with family members with different interests, the multiview feature lets them watch shows simultaneously through different devices, he said.

However, Romero said, Converge Freedom “will be useless in other networks. So, it must be Converge because that is part of our contract with the content provider.”

To start enjoying Converge Freedom, existing Converge subscribers and businesses may visit https://freedom.convergeict.com to subscribe. Non-Converge customers can access Converge Freedom by switching to Converge fiber internet first, Romero said.

As a treat, Converge ICT is giving its existing subscribers a Freedom App 30-day trial period until April 30.

“We hope to upgrade our subscribers’ entertainment experience by maximizing convenience while providing premium content. We’re planning to extend this service to everyone in the country as Converge continues to revolutionize the way Filipinos experience internet and access content,” Romero added.

Converge Freedom Plans are at P300, P500 and P700 monthly subscriptions. It is initially available in Metro Manila (Navotas, Parañaque, Quezon City, Taguig Pateros, Valenzuela, Marikina, Caloocan, Muntinlupa) and North Luzon (Angeles, Mabalacat, Tarlac).

Converge Freedom can be enjoyed by Converge FiberX subscribers with Plans 1500, 2500, and 3500; Converge Fiber Xtreme subscribers with Plans 4500 and 7000; Converge Microbiz subscribers with Plans 2000 and 3000; and Converge iBiz subscribers with Plans 9000, 12000, and 15000.
