GUAGUA, Pampanga – Safer, comfortable, and more conducive learning spaces are afforded students of two public schools here with the inauguration of two new school buildings here by the constructed by the Provincial Government of Pampanga on June 16.

Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the inauguration and blessing of the facilities, together with Mayor Anthony Joseph Torres, board members Fritzie David-Dizon and Sajid Khan Eusoof, members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Guagua, barangay officials, and school administrators.

At Guillermo D. Mendoza National High School in Barangay Sta. Filomena, the newly completed two-storey, four-classroom building has ended shifting classes for more than 1,300 students, ensuring that all sections now have their own classrooms.

“We are very grateful because this is a meaningful project of the Provincial Capitol, whose primary concern is our students. We no longer have shifting classes because everyone can now enter their respective classrooms, and all students are accommodated by this building,” said Ruvie Pallasigui, school principal of the said school.

The Capitol also turned over a new two-storey, four-classroom building at San Pedro Elementary School, providing young learners with brighter and better-equipped classrooms. Each classroom is furnished with chairs, tables, blackboards, and wall fans, while comfort rooms are also included in the facility.

Vice Governor Pineda emphasized that the project reflects the value of cooperation among the provincial government, municipal government, and barangay officials.

“This clearly shows what we can achieve through unity—the barangay purchased the land, the Capitol constructed the building, and your local government committed to provide the fence,” he said.

The newly inaugurated facilities form part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to strengthen public education infrastructure and provide Kapampangan learners with safe, supportive, and future-ready spaces for learning.

The projects were funded through the Special Education Fund, with P8.5 million allocated for the G.D. Mendoza National High School building, P3.4 million for the renovation of the school’s administration and classroom buildings, and P9.23 million for the San Pedro Elementary School building.
