CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 1,900 mothers including pregnant women, new mothers, and senior citizens from various municipalities across Pampanga received financial aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development in partnership with the Nanay Partylist led by Rep. Florabel Yatco.

Yatco lead the distribution together with Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda in ceremonies held at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Tuesday.

Through the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) each beneficiary received P5,000 in cash assistance. The initiative aims to provide immediate financial relief to low-income mothers and families struggling with day-to-day expenses.

“As part of our commitment, we will continue to support mothers and the families who depend on them. This program is our way of giving back and ensuring that no mother is left behind,” said Yatco.

The provincial government of Pampanga for its part, expressed continued support for initiatives that prioritize maternal welfare and healthcare assistance.

“For families with children suffering from respiratory illnesses or those who need treatment at the Philippine Children’s Hospital, this financial aid means a great deal — especially for single mothers,” said Governor Pineda.

Vice Governor Pineda further encouraged families to seek assistance from the provincial government and the Nanay Partylist when in need of medical support.

“If you have children, relatives, or acquaintances in need of surgery at the Heart Center or Kidney Center, you may approach the Capitol or the Nanay Partylist. We can provide help even for operations costing up to P600,000,” he said.

Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation for the assistance, emphasizing the positive impact of the program on their families.
Aside from the financial assistance, beneficiaries also received free pneumonia vaccines worth P3,000–P5,000 each to strengthen the health and protection of mothers and their families.
