SUBIC, Zambales – Police nabbed six suspected drug pushers during buy bust operation at Purok 6-A, Barangay Calapacuan of this town, Thursday morning.
Chief Inspector Rogelio Peñones, Jr., provincial officer of the Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (ZCIDT), identified the suspects as Rolando Sabado, 32; Jesus Tajos, 18; Japeth Jabillo, 27, all of Barangay Calapacuan; Joel Ignacio, 32 Santiago Querubin, 22 both of Barangay Calapandayan and Leovin Gomes, 29 of Barangay Roosevelt, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Report said the suspects were arrested at about 10:30 a.m. when the ZCIDT operatives implemented “Oplan Big Bertha” (campaigned against illegal drugs).
Peñones said a month long surveillance was held after the police received reports that proliferations of drugs are rampant at Purok 6-A of Barangay Calapacuan.
Recovered from suspects possession include 38 transparent plastic sachets of shabu with market value of P38,000 and mark money amounting to P500.
Suspects were all detained at ZCIDT detention cell facing charges violation of RA 9165 before the Olongapo City Prosecutors Office.
