IBA, Zambales — Joint operatives of the Iba police and the provincial drug enforcement unit arrested three suspects in a buy-bust operation here and seized shabu worth P200,000 on Tuesday evening.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said the anti-drug operation conducted at about 10:30 p.m. in Purok 1, Barangay Dirita, resulted to the arrest of Alenor Barasar y Dimao, 43, and Jalil Dimao y Dacampong, 34, both residents of Barangay Lipay Dingin, Iba; and Doblon Ampoan y Kiampuan, 48, of Datu Ismael, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Seized from the suspects, aside from the plastic sachet of suspected shabu purchased by the poseur-buyer, were 37 plastic sachets of suspected shabu (in the possession of suspect Ampoan), the P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, one Yamaha Vega motorcycle with sidecar, and one Samsung cellular phone.
The confiscated drugs weighed 31,52 grams with an estimated street value of P214,336.
The suspects were charged for violation of Sections 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“With the constant arrest of illegal drug personalities in the area as well as the unremitting commitment of the police to stop its proliferation, illegal drug traders will have less opportunity to propagate illegal drugs here in the Province of Zambales,” said Cardiño.
