3-Day KSK Farmer’s Day opens at SM City Cabanatuan

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija –The SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) together with SM Supermalls, Local Government Unit of Municipalities of Talavera and Bongabon in Nueva Ecija and other partners opens 3-Day Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) Farmer’s Day on April 8 to 10 at the ground floor of SM City Cabanatuan.

Chao Chua assistant mall manager said these farmers commonly from marginalize sector of the community was able to graduate from SMFI 14 weeks Agri-technology training, giving them farmer’s starter kit and now selling their harvested fresh produce such as vegetables, root crops, fruits and other products coming from their own crops at SM to continuously support their progress on social enterprises which in turn provide economic opportunities.

“SM City Cabanatuan is giving the selling area and the pop-up booth for free as part of showing our love to our local farmers together with SM Foundation Inc. we also want to see them successful and unceasingly cultivate their land, plant their crops, harvest and sell their produced with us and to their target community. We are also encouraging our partners to constantly help and support our farmers as we are on the road to making some difference in their lives” said Chua.

SM Foundation’s KSK project is conducted all over the Philippines to alleviate the lives of the farmers and equip them with the latest trends in agriculture and now uplifting their knowledge in business and marketing.

“We are encouraging everyone to show our love and support to the Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmer’s Market on the following days.” Chua added.
