NUEVA ECIJA – Two suspected peddlers of illegal drugs, particularly shabu, are now locked in jail after authorities arrested them in separate buy bust operations, police reported on Wednesday.
The suspects were identified as Romeo Gamboa, 32, a back hoe operator from Barangay Magpapalayok here and Ruel Sorila, 29, of Barangay Niyugan, Jaen, both of Nueva Ecija.
Chief Insp. Renato Morales, San Leonardo police chief, said Gamboa was arrested in a buy bust operation that was hatched upon information fed by concerned citizens.
“May nag-report sa atin na may nagbebenta ng shabu sa Barangay Magpapalayok dito sa ating bayan,” Morales said.

In Jaen, Chief Insp. Alexander Aurelio, town police chief, said that operatives recovered from Sorila two sachets of alleged shabu and a P1000 bill.
Police also impounded a single motorcycle that belonged to Sorila, Aurelio said.
Morales said information fed by concerned citizens helped the police in pursuit against criminal elements. The police, he said, are running after all kinds of criminals, including illegal drugs personalities.
