SUBIC, Zambales — Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested by joint operatives of the Subic police drug enforcement unit and Zambales 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company in a buy-bust along GoVic Highway in Barangay Matain here.
In his report to Zambales police director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., Subic police chief Capt. Rolando S. Ballon identified the suspects as Christian Angelo Kei Nicolas y Castroverde, 29, of Purok 1 and Emmanuel Mananglung y Bascara, 25, of No. 0546 National Highway both in Barangay Matain.
The report said that on August 27, at about 10:45 p.m., the suspects were arrested selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police poseur–buyer.
Police recovered from the suspects the transacted sachet of shabu and the P500 marked money, another 16 sachets of shabu with a total weight of approximately 10.2 grams and a street value of P150,000.
The police also confiscated the suspects’ vehicle, a Toyota Vios with license plate number NAQ 2375.
Both suspects now face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165.
