BALANGA CITY, Bataan — A ₱100-million Balanga Green Mobility Hub is planned for Barangay Cabog-Cabog, Balanga City, as part of efforts to promote modern, efficient, and environmentally sustainable transportation.
According to the project information board, the project will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and will cover a total area of 5,700 square meters.
The facility is designed to combine a public transportation terminal with solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, supporting the growing shift toward cleaner and more sustainable mobility.

Among its planned facilities are four transport bays capable of accommodating up to eight vehicles and six parking spaces for public utility vehicles (PUVs). It will also feature four sets of 60-kilowatt EV chargers with a double-gun configuration.
The project will incorporate 222 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules rated at 590 watts each, providing an estimated total capacity of 130.98 kilowatt-peak (kWp). It will also include two battery energy storage units, each with a capacity of 215 kilowatt-hours, for a combined storage capacity of 430 kWh.
Additional facilities will include restrooms, passenger support areas, and administrative, electrical, and mechanical facilities to support the hub’s operations.
Once completed, the Green Mobility Hub is envisioned to contribute to the development of more sustainable transportation in Balanga City by integrating renewable energy technology with public transport services and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
However, the project information board does not specify the construction timeline or the expected date of opening to the public.
